Hey everyone, this is Sarah Kate.
I’ll be writing the blog today and if you have any questions about Miracle Marathon, today’s the day to ask. First of all, the Miracle Marathon raises money to help benefit Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, for example, Children’s Hospital in Birmingham or Gillette Children’s in Minnesota. I had two surgeries at Children’s Hospital and they changed my life. It also changed my brother’s life when he had a sleep study and he slept better after that.
Miracle Marathon starts next Wednesday, September 16 and it ends Sunday, October 12. What you’re supposed to do is walk (or another activity like bike, run, or swim) a mile a day for 26 days then 1.2 miles on the 27th day.
You don’t have to donate a lot of money but please try to donate a little bit at least. My goal is to for my team to raise 1000 dollars and we’ve already raised almost 300 dollars so far. Please try and join my team to help raise money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals and make someone’s life better.

Andi Here: Several of you – friends and readers alike – have already joined Sarah Kate’s team and she is so proud of that fact! To join her effort, either make a donation here or join her team here. Sarah Kate is raising money for Children’s Hospital of Alabama, but Miracle Marathon is a broader effort for all Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. If you’d prefer to form your own team to support your local CMNH location, that’s great, too! Just let us know when you do!

What a kind idea to support the hospital that has helped you — and with a challenge that will require much stamina over the next 27 days. Good luck, Sarah Kate!
