Remember that day when Sarah Kate was The Most Awesome Kid in the World?
And remember when the runDisney folks took notice and decided they wanted to share with the rest of the world (you know, all of those folks who weren’t there on that glorious day) how awesome she was?
Well, runDisney decided that the day to tell the rest of the world about Sarah Kate was last Friday, June 20, 2014.
Yep. It’s out.
I’ve embedded it below for you to watch, but I highly recommend that you follow this link instead and read the article attached to the video on the Disney Parks blog before you watch. And of course… come back here and let me know what you think!
UPDATE (2019): The article has been removed but the video is still available on the RunDisney Facebook page here.

What a beautifully told story! She is so well spoken and even if she doesn’t feel she is an inspiration to others she definitely is. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, man! Sarah Kate, you are awesome, but you are wrong: you are VERY inspiring! I’m going to go right now and call my doctor (orthopedist) to ask him if it’s okay if I start the couch-to-5K program. Because I always have reasons that I think I can’t do it, but–no offense–you’ve got a lot more going on with your legs than I have with mine, so maybe if I try your motto, I’ll succeed just like you have. 🙂

I remember being on the finish line that day and watching SK running that last part pushing her chair… it still give me chills!! Greatest day! She was definitely and still is the Most Awesome Girl in the Wold! It is great that they took notice… Now her story will inspire more people to keep going no matter how hard it seems!! Thank you for sharing her with us and the wold!!

You are amazing Sarah Kate!! Finish Strong…Never Give Up. That is an amazing motto especially for an 11 year old. Just a question Is she going to middle school next year?
Andi says
Not yet. Middle school here in Mayberry starts in 7th grade, so she has one more year.
