What can I say about Nathan’s race, which immediately followed Sarah Kate’s triumph?
He was ready to go. Or at least he was ready to give a thumbs up. And based on the graph her Fitbit generated, I think he and Katie ran at least a mile in the corral waiting on us before his 100 meter race started. Of course, the great irony of it all is that he tried multiple times to burst through the start line prematurely, but when the gun went off he just kind of stood there for a few seconds looking around. Forbidden fruit, I guess?
I love, love, love, LOVE that Nathan’s and Katie’s feet are in sync as they are running. I didn’t take that many photos of his race (it was only 100 meters – not long enough to do much and way too crowded to do it well…) so the odds of getting multiple shots of them in sync was pretty remote, right?
Sarah Kate wasn’t the only one snagging high-fives from Disney cast members on the course. 🙂
Katie wasn’t the only one laughing at his … ahem … exuberance with the high-five. I laugh every time I look at the photo series above.
So his race history now includes a full marathon, half marathon, and 5K (all in utero 🙂 ), a diaper dash, and three 100-meter dashes. He’s on his way!
