Yes, that sound you hear is me crying Uncle!
So I completed the Back-2-Back Challenge this weekend: I ran the Mississippi Blues Half Marathon in Jackson, MS on Saturday morning, then drove the four-ish hours back home that afternoon to run the First Light Half Marathon in Mobile on Sunday morning. Four of us made it a girls trip and we had a lot of fun. The medals in Jackson were HUGE and very cute, but the medals in Mobile were handmade by special people who are members of the L’Arche community. We also received a Back-2-Back plaque, also handmade by L’Arche members.
After we finished, I went back home to pick up Sarah Kate for the 1.2-mile fun run in the afternoon. I’m going to have a lot to say about the fun run – it didn’t go well at all – but unfortunately when I woke up on Monday my back was killing me (yet my hips, legs, knees, ankles, and feet feel fine…), and when I broke down and took a muscle relaxer that was (literally) all she wrote. 🙂 I have today’s blog post sketched out in my mind but … that’s it. So I’ll have to hold off another day or so, but in the meantime, head over to Courtney’s place and laugh with her. You won’t regret it!
