Sun-Beams is a collection of links to stories, articles, photos, or videos I have come across that I believe will inspire, inform, or encourage you, as well as my favorite photo posted on my other blog, Violet Film, from the past week.
Disabled N.J. girl thrives, inspires after transplant – The “inspires” is a little gagworthy, but I appreciate the update on the Amelia Rivera case.
TSA May Have Perfect Job For Those On The Spectrum – Everyone has gifts and talents; we only need to identify them and how they can best use them.
‘Breaking Bad’s’ R.J. Mitte talks about living with cerebral palsy – I wish I had been aware of Mitte’s character before the last season of the show – I might have watched the show.
Katy Perry ‘Roar’ Contest Finalist: Girl With Down Syndrome Stars – Presented without comment.
Photo of the Week:
This one hasn’t appeared on Violet Film (yet) because I’m way behind on posting over there.
I realized this week when Nathan and I hit the mall that … he had never been to a mall. And since he’s never been to a mall, he’s never had the opportunity to ride the ridiculous little 75-cent car things. I let him climb in to what he thought was a stationary car – imagine his surprise when I plopped my three quarters in and it started moving. Best moment of the week.
