Sarah Kate never gets angry. I don’t why, but somehow this simple fact had never occurred to me until a few days ago. Is it because she’s only nine? Do I just have a really sweet kid? I have no idea.
I got a replacement “box of cheer” this week. Some companies have EXCELLENT customer service. And cookies. 🙂 I’m so impressed with Cheryl’s that I’m linking to them on the blog today.
If you’ve left a comment lately and I didn’t respond right away, I apologize. Ditto if I haven’t visited your Snippets post in a couple of weeks. I’m trying to dig out of a hole but I feel like I’m drowning in electronic communication these days. It doesn’t help that I can’t leave Nathan alone for any length of time, lest I want him to empty the plastic drawer, eat the dog’s food, or steal a DVD from the player (Arrested Development Season 2 Disk 1 has been missing for a month now).
I love my little guy, but I’m counting the days until he starts Mother’s Day Out this summer.
Eight. Whole. Hours. to myself each week.
I need to clarify something from yesterday’s post about stay-at-home motherhood. I do believe that all education is valuable, and I actually still do use my degrees to some extent in volunteer work and “consulting” for Mr. Andi. The diplomas on the wall don’t torment me – they just bug me now and again.
Speaking of yesterday’s post on stay-at-home motherhood, I really should have titled it differently. Instead of referring to it as “THE third way” I really should have said “A third way” because there as many shades to stay-at-home motherhood as there are in the rainbow. I didn’t mean to draw such a sharp distinction and imply there were only three options.
Sigh. Nathan’s back on the antibiotics. I lucked out, however, because the day his little hands (one of the worst places on his body with the ‘pox) started to look angry and infected again, we were scheduled to go in for his two year checkup. So I’m back to hog tying with a syringe for another ten days, but I did save the $35 copay. Winning!
We may be adding to our little family in the future. Stay tuned…
Have a great weekend!

Hooray for Cheryl’s! Amazing customer service.
And SK never gets angry? You have an amazing kid. Can she teach me some tricks?
Andi says
I know, right? I don’t get angry much now but when I was younger – watch out! I slammed a boy up against the lockers in middle school who made me mad. I can’t believe I did that…

Some kids are just naturally laid back and take it as it comes…something I wish more adults had going for them! And Em is almost 8 and still can’t be left alone. She always finds SOMETHING that is just too appealing to resist!

Thanks for the link to Cheryl’s Cookies. Just sent a BD cookie to my sister in NC for $5! Easier than going to the store for a card and way better than just an email. Thanks.

So glad!

Hi Andi! I stumbled upon your site through CJ @ Don’t Lick the Ferrets! I’m so glad I found it. I’ll DEFINITELY be joining in each Friday for Seven Snippets! Do you have the widget code for the link up so I can also include in my weekly post?

You didn’t really just write “adding to the family” as a teaser, did you? On pins and needles and will be checking back soon.
I lOVED your at home moms post. So many complicated issues. As my kids are in school, but still needing extra attention, I try to balance what will bring me joy, and some income, while keeping my family a priority, without stealing my sanity. Still looking…

Why, of course I did… and you are the only one who’s commented on it…
