I loved the homecoming queen article. Our town recently gave a boy with Down Syndrome the honor of homecoming king! He carried that newspaper clipping around and showed everyone he met for a few months afterwards.
It’s a shame the title usually goes to the most popular people instead of the kindest, most caring, most helpful.

I actually came across several articles like this one last year – I’m hoping that as we move later into the fall there will be more. Of course, what would be really great is for it to become such a common occurrence that it isn’t “news” anymore!
