Just came across your blog this morning and am loving it! I work with special needs children and young adults and am actually in the process of preparing a dance class just for special needs kids so I’m pretty active in the community. I hadn’t read the article on the Alzheimers drugs for DS people but my husband has Celiac Disease and his sister has DS so during a lot of our research on the links between the two we’ve found some similar Alzheimers-related studies. Real meaty stuff.
… and your children are beautiful!

Thank you so much! I enjoyed the NYT article less because of the drug angle, and more because they brought attention to research in general as it relates to Down syndrome. It (I thought) a very fair but also poignant treatment of the issues at stake. Thanks for stopping by and please come back anytime! I’d love to hear more about how the dance class goes.
