What a great Sunday it has been so far!
The overnight low was something like 67 degrees – perfect for an early morning run. Following that, we all went to church at Sacred Heart, a beautiful ~140 year old church that’s on the bay. It’s only open Memorial Day through Labor Day and it doesn’t have any air conditioning. Today, though, it was fabulous because the weather was nice and we weren’t sweating like pigs.
Since returning from church (we were back home before 9am!) I’ve been outside on the back porch, reading and watching streaming Netflix videos on my iPad. I am LOVING my iPad, except for one tiny thing – the nagging feeling that I shouldn’t have spent the money and should have saved it for….oh, I don’t know, therapy, maybe? Sarah Kate has been out here with me most of the time, digging in the dirt, picking up leaves, and performing various other tasks that demonstrate that she did, indeed, did the green gene that I lack, much to my mother’s disbelief. Daisy, our wild westie, is enjoying the day, as well, alternating between lounging on the porch next to me and exploring the micro-jungle we know as the grass. And finally…my little man tried his hardest to enjoy the porch with us, exploring his own Jumperoo Jungle, but he was, ultimately, no match for the Sandman.
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
